how much of an area does a yard of gravel cover?
On average, a yard of gravel will cover 100 square feet 3 inches deep. This coverage will vary based on the size and type of rock.
how do you measure rock?
We sell our rock by a cubic yard. We measure with either a skid-steer bucket or a loader bucket, depending on the size of your order. Each skid-steer bucket holds ½ yard of gravel, and each loader bucket holds 2½ yards of gravel.
The only time we measure our materials using weight is for our boulders and flagstone products. When you choose these products, we will place these items on the scale and charge by the pound.

Every pallet varies, but each one of our pallets is approximately 4,000 pounds, or about 2 tons.
